Konta into Semifinals!

Johanna Konta, the Australian born, British tennisplayer has continued her meteoric run at the Australian Open in 2016. This morning (RSA time) she beat Shuai Zhang of China, who knocked out Simona Halep, 6-4 6-1 to advance to her first Grand Slam semi-final appearance.

Konta, who is ranked 47th in the world, has really started to become a force in the women's game in the last 12 months or so having also reached the 4th round in the 2015 US Open, eventually losing to Czech, Petra Kvitova.

She next faces Anqelique Kerber in the semifinals who ousted 2-time winner, Victoria Azarenka, in straight sets.

Konta and her fans would definitely feel that there is a great chance of reaching a Grand Slam Final with her current form and they'll be hoping it doesn't stop there.
