Reigns to overcome the odds?

The Road to Wrestlemania has officialy begun and tempers have been flying high. The past couple of weeks has seen Roman Reigns feuding with The Authority over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Reigns has overcome everything The Authority, and Sheamus, the number 1 contender for Reigns' title through the period, has thrown at them, becoming the champion after the TLC pay-per-view.

Reigns numerously attacked Vince McMahon on his way to the title leading to the fued with The Authority. Vince then decided that for the first time ever the Royal Rumble Match would be contested with the WWE World Heavyweight title up for grabs.

McMahon also, predictably, revealed Reigns as the number 1 entrant in the match on this past week's Raw.

Can Reigns really leave as champion?

It would appear as if there is no chance in a million years that he can, but "The Big Dog" believes he might just do so.

The outcome all depends on the WWE's plans for Wrestlemania. Paul Heyman recently told Stephanie that his client, Brock Lesnar, will not compete in the Rumble matc, instead he will face the champion in the main event of Wrestlemania. If this materializes, Reigns might be book to win, as this will create a blockbuster rematch of their Wrestlemania XXXI title match which was abrubtly interrupted by Seth Rollins, who cashed in his Money in the Bank Briefcase, and left as champion.

On the other hand, WWE might opt for Reigns to lose the title in the Rumble Match and then possibly regain it at Wrestlemania. This might mean handing the title over to another capable superstar like Sheamus.

The obvious choice would be for Reigns to retain and go on to face Lesnar at Wrestlemania, this would also keep Heyman happy.

What do you guys think will happen?
